Tiny Diner Plant Sale – Tiny Diner

The Tiny Diner hosts various events, workshops and classes at our restaurant. These classes seek to introduce and extend our understanding about food, water, energy, health, and permaculture design techniques for our homes, businesses, and communities. Some of the topics include storm water management, rain gardening, straw bale gardening, basic botany, composting and vermiculture, beekeeping, mushroom production, and more. The classes will be free or low-cost. Please stay connected to our class calendar and make sure to sign-up for them as they become available.

Location: All events and classes will be held at Tiny Diner restaurant (1024 E. 38th Street, S. Minneapolis) unless noted otherwise.

Some classes may require an RSVP and will state if you need to sign-up. If you don't RSVP, the class may be cancelled. Write to andrea.e@tinydiner.com, with the class title in the subject heading.

Wozupi Tribal Gardens is bringing a truck full of beautiful, organically-grown plant starts of your favorite vegetables, fruits and herbs. Wozupi Tribal Gardens is an organic farm that is owned by the Shakopee Mdewakaton Sioux Community. Wozupi is committed to growing food in a way that nourishes the earth, the community, and people’s minds and bodies. Using environmentally-sustainable and fair labor practices, they grow vegetables, herbs and fruit, produce eggs, honey, and maple syrup.

3437 15th Ave Community Garden is a pesticide-free community garden in the Powderhorn Neighborhood of Minneapolis. They provide space in 25 raised beds gardens to new-to-gardening and experienced gardeners alike! In this family-friendly space, gardeners have the opportunity to grow their own food and create community. Want to get involved? Join a workday every Tuesday night this summer.

Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association (PPNA) works to enhance the quality of life in the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood by facilitating community engagement, embracing a diversity of voices, and fostering economic and community development.  It strives to connect, inform, inspire and advocate on behalf of the entire community.
