Dance Party with Out in the Backyard – Tiny Diner

The Tiny Diner hosts various events, workshops and classes at our restaurant. These classes seek to introduce and extend our understanding about food, water, energy, health, and permaculture design techniques for our homes, businesses, and communities. Some of the topics include storm water management, rain gardening, straw bale gardening, basic botany, composting and vermiculture, beekeeping, mushroom production, and more. The classes will be free or low-cost. Please stay connected to our class calendar and make sure to sign-up for them as they become available.

Location: All events and classes will be held at Tiny Diner restaurant (1024 E. 38th Street, S. Minneapolis) unless noted otherwise.

Some classes may require an RSVP and will state if you need to sign-up. If you don't RSVP, the class may be cancelled. Write to andrea.e@tinydiner.com, with the class title in the subject heading.

Dance Party with Out in the Backyard

June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Get a rush of endorphins during our first Thursdays in June event! Out in the Backyard is taking over the parking lot for a dance party that will be impossible to resist. One of their most popular teachers will be leading the group in a short Zumba class. After that, stick around for more dancing, music, beer and snacks! Proceeds from this event will go to support Out in the Backyard’s amazing work to support healthy lifestyles by providing free/low cost exercise classes to South Minneapolis communities. This event is free and open to all!

This event is the first of our Thursday in June events as we ramp up to our farmers’ market starting in July!

Out in the Backyard (OIBY) is an organization dedicated to growing healthy queer communities by identifying allied providers, appropriate resources, and improving community relationships.We also want to reduce the gap between LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ people. For the last 10 years, OIBY has provided workout classes are not only free to all, but also open and welcoming to people in all walks of life. They offer a variety of weekly classes including Zumba, yoga, herbal remedies, self-defense, hip-hop, Bollywood and much more!
